The board is set, the remaining pieces are moving and the end is near. If the conclusion of Breaking Bad is about bringing Walt to justice, this is the best that we’re going to get.
Almost all of Breaking Bad’s major plotlines stem from its central characters’ reaction to chaos. And, there’s certainly been plenty of chaos to go around.
This week’s episode makes it clear that Walt vs. Hank is not a clear-cut case of good vs. bad, or even drug dealer vs. cop. It’s a clash between desperate, underachievers and their sensible, law-abiding, financially-satisfied counterparts.
